From Producer J.J Abrams (Star Trek, Cloverfield, Star Wars: The Force Returns) comes Overlord, a World War II action horror film. Think of this film as a matchup between Grindhouse, Dunkirk and the “Of the Dead” movies and that’s what Overlord looks to be. The film stars Wyatt Russel (22 Jump Street/Everybody Wants Some!!), Bokeem Woodbine (Fargo TV Series) and Jovan Adepo (Fences).
While long rumored to be a part of the Cloverfield franchise, according to the film’s producer it is nothing more than a stand-alone film. Whether we choose to believe that is another story.
Overlord drops November 9th, 2018.
